Instructions for taking the test

On this page, you will find all the necessary instructions to correctly perform the self-collection at home.

Read each step carefully and do not hesitate to contact us for any doubts or questions.

The steps you will need to follow

1. After making the purchase, within a few days, you will receive the kit at home: register on My GEK Lab and start your journey.

2. Enter the test on My GEK Lab using the SKU you received in the order confirmation email.

3. Perform the capillary self-collection carefully following the instructions below…
  1. If you purchased a PerMè 360, PerMè, or Glyco Test, you must be fasting for 3 hours. For other tests, you can collect the sample anytime.
  2. Wash your hands thoroughly.
  3. Pre-open the vial with the swab.
  4. Move or massage the selected finger to facilitate blood circulation.
  5. Clean the finger with the disinfectant wipe.
  6. Let it dry for a few seconds.
  7. Prepare the fingerstick lancet, position it on the fingertip, and press firmly.
  8. Facilitate blood flow by pressing near the puncture.
  9. Open the vial, place the swab tip, and let it fill completely by capillary action.
  10. Press and massage if necessary to facilitate blood flow.
  11. Once the central channel is well-filled, conclude by passing the sides of the swab.
  12. Check that the swab is correctly soaked.
  13. Close the vial firmly.
  14. Clean the finger from any blood residues.
  15. Place the vial in the box.
  16. Repeat the procedure for each vial in the box.
  17. Store the sample in the refrigerator.

5. Specify the test collection address: you will automatically receive a printable courier reading via email to be handed to the courier

6. Follow the progress of the shipment and, after receiving the email notification, download your report by accessing My GEK Lab

FAQ

Dove posso trovare il codice prodotto?

Il codice prodotto o codice SKU si trova nella mail di conferma dell’acquisto 

Ho ricevuto la mail di conferma dell’inserimento del test ma non ho ricevuto la lettera per il corriere. Come posso fare?

Generalmente la lettera di vettura per il corriere viene inviata il pomeriggio verso le 17:00. In caso di mancata ricezione, vi consigliamo di controllare anche nella SPAM.

Come faccio se non posso rimanere a casa ad aspettare il corriere?

Qualora ci fossero difficoltà a rimanere a casa per aspettare il corriere si può lasciare il pacchetto con la sua lettera di vettura presso una filiale SDA o presso il centro Mail Boxes Ets più vicino a lei

Se inserisco il test venerdì sera quando verrà ritirato il campione?

Nel caso in cui l’inserimento del test venisse effettuato il venerdì dopo le 17:00, il sistema invierà la lettera di vettura per il corriere il lunedì pomeriggio e il ritiro verrà prenotato in automatico per martedì.

Quanto tempo può rimanere in frigo il campione?

Il campione è analizzabile dal nostro laboratorio fino a 20gg dopo l’esecuzione del prelievo. In ogni caso cerchiamo di far arrivare in laboratorio il campione nel minor tempo possibile.

Entro quando riceverò il referto?

Garantiamo l’invio del referto entro 10-15gg lavorativi ma generalmente il tempo richiesto è sempre un po’ di meno
