Several scientific studies have allowed us to understand its involvement in numerous processes as well as its possible relationships with inflammation, including inflammation related to diet.<\/p><p>Below, we list the most important mechanisms in which this cytokine is involved.<\/p><h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">BAFF and autoimmunity<\/h5><p>The survival of certain immune system cells, B cells, depends on BAFF. However, increased production of BAFF has been associated with the <strong>development of autoimmune diseases<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Specifically, BAFF plays a key role in accurately &#8220;selecting&#8221; immune system cells. However, <strong>an excess of BAFF interferes with these &#8220;selection&#8221; processes<\/strong>, increasing the number of self-reactive cells, which is the basis for the development of multiple Adipose tissue is a true organ capable of releasing \u201csubstances\u201d such as BAFF, thereby creating and maintaining an \u201cinflamed\u201d microenvironment.<\/p>\n\n<p>BAFF is known to act as a true link between <strong>inflammation and metabolism,<\/strong> playing a primary role in the maintenance of <strong>i<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geklab.com\/en\/insulin-resistance-sugar-induced-inflammation-and-weight-loss\/\">nsulin resistance<\/a><\/strong>. It therefore also plays an important role in inflammation associated with obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When BAFF is elevated<\/h5>\n\n<p>Elevated BAFF levels are an important indication of the <strong>inflammatory state<\/strong> present in the body. BAFF serves as an indicator of inflammatory and immunological issues that can be addressed through personalized dietary choices.<\/p>\n\n<p>An anti-inflammatory and personalized diet, along with proper supplementation to modulate inflammatory responses, such as those based on <strong>turmeric<\/strong>, <strong>inositol<\/strong>, and <strong>perilla oil<\/strong>, can certainly be the first
